Gina Trignani, M.S., R.D., L.D.N., is the Director for Training and Capacity Building at Health Promotion Council, as subsidiary of Public Health Management Corporation. Over her many years of clinical and public health industry experience, as a registered dietitian, diabetes educator, clinical research associate, and project director, she has championed the delivery of and access to evidence-based chronic disease management and prevention programs with a focus on diabetes and diabetes prevention. She oversees a portfolio of grant funded projects which aim to bridge alliances with local, statewide and national partners in the provision of direct services, technical assistance, thought leadership, in addition to, policy and systems change. Gina is passionate about working with communities to address social determinants of health and reducing barriers to access and sustainability of evidence-based programs. Likewise, she strives to identify innovative solutions to continue to close the gaps within community and clinical integration, payment solutions, return on investment, and continuous quality improvement.

Lucita Rivera

Bilingual Community Health Worker

Lucita Rivera is a Bilingual Community Health Worker for the Training and Capacity Building Department of Health Promotion Council, a public health non-profit organization since 1981 dedicated to systemically improving people’s health and wellness through direct services, capacity-building and influencing systems and policies, and is currently working in outreach and promoting COVID-19 vaccines, especially within the Latin(X) population to reduce the vaccine hesitancy. Ms. Rivera has been at Health Promotion Council for 14 years where she started as a Bilingual Nutrition Educator providing services at public, private and parochial schools as well as shelters, residential homes and fire houses. In the Training and Capacity Building Department, Ms. Rivera has served in several roles such as a Program Coordinator for the Self -Management Resource Center (SMRC) programs in English Spanish. In addition, Ms. Rivera is a Bilingual Master Trainer for the Chronic Disease Self- Management Program (CDSMP); Tomando Control de su Salud (Spanish CDSMP); Diabetes Self- Management Program (DSMP); Manejo Personal de la Diabetes (Spanish DSMP); Chronic Pain Self- Management Program (CPSMP) and Manejo Personal del Dolor Crónico (Spanish CPSMP).

Ms. Rivera graduated Magna Cum Laude from LA Salle University with a dual Bachelor degree in Elementary and Special Education. She has a great sense of humor and enjoy cooking and participating in spiritual retreats in the church.
