Marissa Whitehouse is the Senior Medicare Patrol Program Manager within the Administration for Community Living’s Office of Healthcare Information & Counseling. Her earlier work includes acting as Senior Program Specialist within the National Council on Aging’s Center for Healthy Aging and as Program Administrator developing MS’s ADRC program at the Mississippi Department of Human Services. She holds a graduate certificate in Gerontology from University of Southern California, a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University.
Jennifer Trussell

Jennifer Trussell recently retired from a distinguished 35-year career with the Federal government. Her previous positions with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) include Senior Advisor to the Deputy Inspector General for Investigations; Special Agent in Charge of the Investigations Branch; and Chief Investigator (Office of Counsel to the Inspector General). She began her law enforcement career in 1989 as an active-duty Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, and later served as a civilian Criminal Investigator for the U.S. Department of the Navy. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Park University, and a Master’s Degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association, and served on detail to the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging. She is currently a Consultant for the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) and State Health Insurance Assistance (SHIP) programs, and is a frequent guest presenter at national conferences.
Nicole Liebau

Nicole Liebau has worked in non-profit agencies for 14 years, with an emphasis in program and grant management. In her career, Ms. Liebau spent her first four years as a marketing and membership manager throughout six counties in Northeast Iowa for a non-profit organization. She has worked in the SMP National Resource Center since October 2015, for the first three years she was the SMP Center’s assistant director. In her current role as director, she is responsible for the Center’s coordinating efforts with the Administration for Community Living (ACL), grant management, contract management, and technical assistance in developing written materials, webinars, and other Center products. She also manages staff development and daily managerial support.
She attended the Leadership Institute at N4A to expand on her program leadership background and in 2017 a workshop at the Grant Training Center. Along with several other leadership trainings from the Human Capital Institute to assist in agency/grant program and staff management. She has an AA (Associates and Arts) degree from Iowa Lakes Community College and her bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from Wartburg College. In 2021, Nicole had the opportunity to join the board of directors for the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud.
