Elizabeth Bernat
Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Lowcountry Senior Center Executive Director
Elizabeth has served as Executive Director of Lowcountry Senior Centersince 2007. Two of those years were as interim director, 2007-2009. Prior tothat, she served as the program director for the senior center for five years,2002-2007. She has served as the chair of the NISC Improving Health Team. Priorto that her role in NISC has been as a general member of the organization. Shehave participated in the national accreditation process three times, in 2005,2010, and 2015. And was trained in August 2014 as a peer reviewer foraccreditation. She has presented workshops and webinars for NISC/NCOA and hasparticipated in NCOA grant-funded projects.
Elizabeth also volunteers for theBoard of Directors, Senior Ride Connections (formerly ITN Charleston Trident),a transportation network for older adults and the visually impaired,2012-Present. Co-Chair, Business Operations Committee, Senior Rides Connection,2015-Present.
Jill Hall
Division Chief & Acting Nutrition Program Manager Senior Centers and Community Services
Baltimore County Department of Aging
Jill Hall is Chief of the Senior Centers and Community Services Division for the Baltimore County Department of Aging. For the past 14 years, Jill has managed the operations of 21 senior centers, 36 nutrition sites, and the delivery of county-wide evidence-based health and wellness programs. Prior to Baltimore County, Jill was the supervisor of the Rockville Senior Center for 10 years and a senior recreation planning consultant for 15 years. Jill has twice served as the President of the Maryland Association of Senior Centers and been involved with the NCOA’s National Institute of Senior Centers in various capacities for 25 years. She takes on the role of NISC Chair in July.
Tracey Colagrossi

Arlington Heights Senior Center
Tracey Colagrossi has over 20 years' experience working with older adults in community-based settings. Ms. Colagrossi became Director of the Hanover Township Department of Aging Services, during her 15-year tenure in Bartlett, IL. Currently, Ms. Colagrossi is the Senior Center Manager for the Arlington Heights (IL) Senior Center, a unique model of 8 tenant agencies serving older adults, including the Arlington Heights Park District. Ms. Colagrossi is the Chairperson of the NISC Executive Committee with NCOA. She has a BS in Organizational Management and Leadership and a MS in Gerontology Aging Services.
Malia Fox
Former Director
Winona Friendship Center
Malia has a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Music Therapy from the College of St. Teresa, Winona, MN.
Malia began her career as a music therapist in long term care on a memory care unit and worked privately as a music therapist with clients living with developmental disabilities. She worked in long term care as Director of Therapies for 10 years before moving to the City of Winona Park Recreation department as the Director of the Winona Friendship Center for the past 28 years. Malia is on the NCOA/NISC Executive committee as Best Practices chairperson. The Friendship Center is Minnesota’s only nationally accredited senior center.
Malia has enjoyed an adjunct position in gerontology instructing classes at her local university. Malia’s goal at the beginning of her career was to create places/spaces that empowered older adults and would be a place that she would like to go when she aged into that place. Well here she is and is looking forward to the next chapter!
Josh Hodges
Chief Customer Officer

Josh Hodges plans, organizes, and aligns NCOA's programmatic portfolios and network activation strategy to enable the organization to reach millions of individuals and empower them to enroll in benefits programs, prevent falls, and manage their health.
Prior to NCOA, Hodges worked at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living (ACL) where he was Acting Deputy Administrator of the Center for Integrated Programs. In this role, he oversaw 11 aging and disability programs with a total portfolio over $110 million. He also oversaw the creation of the Office of Healthcare Information and Counseling and led the transition of the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIPs) from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) to ACL.
Prior to ACL, Hodges worked at Customer Value Partners where he designed and implemented a new enterprise portfolio management system, and for Grant Thornton, LLP where he provided direct support to federal government agencies.
Dianne Stone (Moderator)
Associate Director of Network Development and Engagement, Modernizing Senior Centers Resource Center and NISC
National Council on Aging
Dianne Stone has more than 20 years of experience with senior centers and aging issues, primarily as the Director of the Newington Senior and Disabled Center in Newington, Connecticut. Stone has also worked, volunteered, and held leadership positions with a variety of organizations in Connecticut, including Connecticut AgeWell Collaborative, the ADA Coalition of Connecticut, Connecticut Medicaid Oversight Council, and the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity. She joined NCOA in January 2022, as a member of the Center for Healthy Aging, where she is primarily focused on supporting senior centers throughout the country through the ACL-funded Modernizing Senior Centers Resource Center and NISC.
