Sonya Edwards is the Executive Director and Broker of ESOP Realty, DBA Branches Real Estate, a subsidiary of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. She is responsible for all strategic and operational outcomes for ESOP’s innovative homeownership programs. Formerly, Sonya served as the Director of Financial Counseling where she developed and implemented an integrated suite of programs for older adults. These programs served over 5,000 older adult clients annually with the goal of helping them achieve and maintain financial wellness and housing stability.

 Sonya has over 25 years of experience in real estate, housing counseling, and social service case- management. She also presents across the nation on topics like Elder Financial Exploitation, Financial Security, and how to create integrated programming to address issues that affect older adults.

 Sonya has Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation and was also selected as one of Crain’s Notable Residential Real Estate Agents for 2021.

 Sonya holds bachelor’s degree from the University of Northwestern Ohio and an Ohio Real Estate Broker license., Applicant 2: Elizabeth Sanchez is the Homeownership Manager of Empowering and Strengthening Ohio’s People (ESOP), a HUD-Approved Housing and Financial Counseling agency headquartered in Cleveland Ohio.  ESOP is a subsidiary of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. Elizabeth has been providing comprehensive housing and financial counseling and instructing homeownership workshops to empower individuals and prepare families achieve and sustain homeownership for almost 25 years.

Elizabeth is responsible for the development and management of ESOP’s Homeownership Education Workshops and Counseling Department. She assists homeowners in all stages of homeownership from first-time buyers purchasing their first home, to assisting older adults transitioning out of their last home, and everyone in between.Elizabeth is a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor.
