Founded in 1908, Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging is a Cleveland-based nonprofit whose mission is to empower all people to age well through research, consumer-responsive services and client advocacy.

The Center for Research and Education at Benjamin Rose conducts state-of-the-art research to develop and deliver innovative solutions toward this goal. Our programs and services include:

BRI Care Consultation is an evidence-based care-coaching program, delivered by telephone and email, that empowers both family caregivers and the person with the health condition to create meaningful, lasting improvements in the care environment.

SHARE for Dementia is an evidence-based care-planning program that provides professionals with the tools they need to help families facing an early-stage dementia diagnosis. A unique iPad app guides families and counselors through the sessions.

Evaluation Research services include Program Evaluation to determine the acceptability, feasibility and effectiveness of programs and to improve quality of services. We also offer Customer Satisfaction research, which includes recommendations for translating results into quality improvements.

Best Practice Caregiving is a free online database that offers professional healthcare and community service organizations detailed information on over 40 evidence-based, carefully vetted dementia caregiving programs across the U.S.
