Claim Credit

To claim Continuing Education Credit for OAMHAD, attendees must: 

  • Attend the entire live session(s).
  • Credits can only be claimed after live viewing the sessions on May 2. 
  • Download and read the step-by-step instructions: Creating an Account and Claiming Credit_OAMHAD.
  • Credits cannot be claimed for on-demand sessions. 
  • Deadline to claim credit is by May 16, 2024. 

Continuing Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Rush University Medical Center will offer 5.5 continuing education units for live viewing of the symposium. Please see the credit designation statements below for more information. The link to claim credits will be provided via email on Friday, May 3rd.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Share new initiatives, strategies, promising practices as well as the perspective of older adults to improve access, eliminate discrimination, and increase collaboration in the field of older adult mental health.
  • Increase awareness about the role that health inequities play in the care and treatment of older adult mental health and substance use disorders and identify culturally-appropriate approaches to reduce their impact, including social support and evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide attendees with actionable steps they can bring back to their communities.
  • Identify policy solutions to address inequities and access barriers in older adult mental health.

It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Rush University Medical Center is approved to offer social work continuing education buy the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved continuing education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 5.50 general continuing education credits.
 
For physical therapy or occupational therapy:
