Sue, a resident of Wilmington, Delaware, is an advocate for aging well. She directed the Wilmington Senior Center for 20 years and retired in December 2021 after 3 ½ years as the executive director of Mid-County Senior Center. 

During her career, Sue established Stand By Me 50+, a free statewide financial coaching program, in collaboration with the United Way and State of Delaware. She also pioneered senior center caregiving services for relatives raising others’ children and loved ones caring for aging and frail adults. 

Sue was a founder and initial chair of the Delaware Aging Network. An active member of the National Council on Aging's National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC), Sue served on the Public Policy and Economic Security Committees and chaired the NISC Executive Committee.

In retirement, Sue volunteers with Meals on Wheels Delaware, serves on a state committee to combat elder social isolation, and will soon be a trained Matter of Balance coach.
