This informational webinar is intended for prospective applicants for the Benefits Enrollment Center (BEC) grant. Participants will get an overview of the grant goals and application process, and have an opportunity to ask questions related to the open Request for Proposals (RFP).

Jennifer Teague
Director, Health Coverage and Benefits
National Council on Aging
Jen Teague is the Director for Health Coverage and Benefits at NCOA. She has over 15 years of experience working on behalf of older adults and their families. Jen’s previous roles have included working with the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services, overseeing adult protective services and managing local non-profit organizations. She has significant experience working with community-based organization (CBO) committees, taskforces, and providing education, information and resources to older adults, key stakeholders, and elected officials. Jen states her passion is ensuring that older adults can access services and supports that allow them to age with dignity and choice. Jen has a Masters degree in Community Counseling and a Bachelors degree in Sociology both from Appalachian State University.
Rosalind Newsholme
Program Associate, Center for Economic Well-Being
NCOA
Rosalind Newsholme joined NCOA in November 2023, and serves as the primary point of contact for the Benefits Enrollment Centers in the Western Region. She has over 10 years of experience supporting and advocating on behalf of older adults. Ros’ previous work focused on helping older adults to understand, apply for and appeal public benefits decisions relating to Medicare, MSP, LIS, Medicaid, food security and affordable housing. Ros is passionate about working to increase access to life-changing benefits. She has a Juris Doctor Degree from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and a Bachelors Degree in Communication and Sociology from Muhlenberg College, both in Pennsylvania. Ros is British-American and moved to the United States from England and South Africa as a child.
Jessalyn Cali
Program Associate, Center for Economic Well-Being
National Council on Aging
Jessie joined NCOA in August 2023, and serves as the primary point of contact for the Benefits Enrollment Centers in the Northeast. Her previous work focused on the experiences of beneficiaries enrolling in WIC, SNAP, and Medicaid, and she is passionate about working to increase access to benefits that promote health and economic security. She has her bachelor's degree in Health Policy from Cornell University.
