This call is for MIPPA Leads and BECs only. In our last TA call of the year, NCOA will provide information on supporting beneficiaries during Medicare Open Enrollment, including appropriate MIPPA roles during OEP, managing demand and referrals, and avoiding prohibited activities.
Ryan Ramsey

Ryan Ramsey is the Associate Director of Health Coverage and Benefits within the Center for Economic Wellbeing. He has over 12 years of experience working to support older adults. His previous roles have included working with the Tennessee Department of Aging and Disability, overseeing the State Health Insurance Assistance (SHIP) Program, Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) program, and data system on delivery of Older American Act services.
Gabriel Smith
Program Associate, Center for Economic Well-Being
National Council on Aging
Gabriel Smith is a Program Associate at the Center for Economic Well-Being and is the Midwest Point of Contact for the Benefits Enrollment Center Network. He has been with the National Council on Aging since June of 2023 and has focused his efforts on Medicare changes/updates to support older adults. He is currently working towards his Doctorate in Public Health from George Washington University.
