Claim Credit

To claim Continuing Education Credit for OAMHAD, attendees must: 

  • Attend the entire live session(s).
  • Credits can only be claimed after live viewing the sessions on May 7. 
  • Download and read the step-by-step instructions: Creating an Account and Claiming Credit_OAMHAD. (Document coming soon)
  • Credits cannot be claimed for on-demand sessions. 
  • Deadline to claim credit is by May 17, 2026. 

Continuing Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Rush University Medical Center anticipates offering up to 5.50 continuing education units for live viewing of the symposium.  Please see the credit designation statements below for more information. The link to claim credits will be provided via email on Friday, May 8th. Attendees will have until May 17th to claim CE for this activity. No requests after this date can be accepted.

Learners must attend at minimum of 1 hour of live sessions to claim CE credit, and can claim CE in increments of .25 beyond the first hour.

  • Examine common behavioral health concerns and their impact on older adults.
  • Describe initiatives, strategies, and promising practices that can improve access and increase participation in behavioral health programs.
  • Identify and implement actionable strategies to support the mental well-being of older adults in your community.

For Medicine: Rush University Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.  

For Nursing:  Rush University Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.50 nursing contact hour(s).  

For Psychologists: Rush University Medical Center designates this live activity for 5.50 CE credits in psychology. Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.  

For Dietitians: This live activity has been approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Completion of this activity awards 5.50 CPEUs. 

For Social Work:  As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Rush University Medical Center is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved continuing education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 5.50 general continuing education credits.  

For physical therapy or occupational therapy: RUSH University Medical Center is an approved provider for physical therapy (216.000378) and occupational therapy (224.000220) by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation for 5.50 credit hours
